On the afternoon of July 29th, Xu Sheng, Vice Chairman of the Yancheng Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of the Zhi Gong Party Municipal Committee, visited Yangzhou Qunfa Guangxin Technology Co., Ltd. for an inspection and investigation. Qunfa Company Chairman, a member of the Zhi Gong Party, accompanied him throughout the visit.
Chairman Xu Sheng listened to a report on the development of Qunfa Company's OPA (Optical Phased Array) silicon photonic chip project (product), focusing on understanding the industrialization advantages and market entry progress of the world's third OPA technology route. He conducted detailed inquiries about the application layout of OPA silicon photonic chips in two key scenarios: LiDAR and 3D imaging. The person in charge introduced that the current technology reserves have been completed, and the chip tape-out process and market docking work are progressing smoothly.

During the visit to the silicon photonics production line, Chairman Xu Sheng inquired in detail about the operation of various equipment on the production line. The production manager introduced that the current production line focuses on 6-inch wafer technology. As the first domestic production line with pure silicon photonics technology as its core feature, it has essential differences in process focus compared to CMOS and MEMS production lines on the market. The core technology of the production line lies in the growth of low-loss thick-film silicon nitride materials. After dozens of rounds of process optimization, the waveguide loss has been stably controlled within the technical range, successfully ranking among the industry's leading lines. This process technology is not only used in the production of OPA silicon photonic chips but also meets the processing and material sales of a series of products such as optical communication and optical sensing.

The production manager introduced that the company, through early in-depth market research and forward-looking layout, now possesses the full-chain capabilities of silicon photonic chip simulation design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, and sales. It is also the first domestic sci-tech enterprise to achieve end-to-end integration in the silicon photonics field. It has reached cooperation with a platform under the Chinese Academy of Sciences and plans to publicly announce the PDK information of various processes in August, providing customized process services to relevant units in need.

Chairman Xu Sheng stated: Qunfa Guangxin is both a representative of private sci-tech enterprises and a party member enterprise of the Zhi Gong Party, wholeheartedly contributing to local economic development.
