2025 Yangzhou Silicon Photonics Industry Development and Qunfa Optical Chip OPA Pilot Line and Product Launch Conference was successfully held
On the morning of April 27, 2025, the 2025 Yangzhou Silicon Photonics Industry Development and Qunfa Optical Photonics Chip OPA Pilot Line and Product Launch Conference was successfully held at the Yangzhou Guest House. The meeting was chaired by Wang Qingwei, District Mayor of Yangzhou's Hanjiang District. Wang Jinjian, Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Hui Xiaobing, Chairman of the China Association for Promoting Science and Technology Industrialization, Yi Yasha, Chief Scientist of the Qunfa-UM University Cooperation Project, Gerald Henderson Jr., Chief Operating Officer of Innovative Electric Vehicle Technologies, and Danny Wilkerson, CEO, delivered speeches respectively.
Yangzhou CPPCC Chairman Chen Yang visited Qunfa Optical Chip for inspection and guidance
On the morning of April 14th, Chen Yang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, visited Qunfa Optical Chip to inspect and provide guidance. Accompanied by Wang Liang, the company's Chairman and Vice President of Technology, and the process manager, Chairman Chen Yang visited the pilot line's cleanroom to learn in detail about the progress of equipment commissioning in key processes. In the core areas of the coating and yellow light stations, the responsible person explained that the equipment in the two Class 100 cleanrooms of the pilot line meets world-class standards. The coating process utilizes two different CVD systems, meeting both mass production needs and R&D testing. The company also possesses a wide range of thin film processes, including low-loss thick-film silicon nitride and silicon oxide, which are used not only in the production of OPA silicon photonic chips but also in the processing and material sales of optical communication products.
On the afternoon of March 6, Zhang Huansheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Radar Industry Association, led a group of experts from relevant member units to visit Qunfa Company for exchanges and guidance. Qunfa Company leaders and technical personnel participated in the reception. Vice President Wang Liang introduced Qunfa Company's third OPA technology route. The company's silicon photonics pilot line construction and product market introduction are progressing in an orderly manner. As the core scanning component of LiDAR, the company's OPA silicon photonics chip has broad room for cooperation with radar companies. We hope to make full use of the advantages of member units, actively connect with the vast membership resources of the Radar Association, and contribute to the development of the association.

UW Converge Hong Kong 2024 - Cluster Light Core
From August 23rd to 25th, the 10th 2024 University of Washington International Alumni Association event was held in Hong Kong. Zhuang Yating, Head of International Affairs (Class of 2016), attended the event and presented the OPA silicon photonics chip project. The event featured four forums on economics and trade, technological innovation, cultural exchange, and virtual reality, inviting renowned industry alumni and outstanding scientific and technological alumni to share their experiences. On the morning of September 11th, at the 2024 Jiangsu Industry-University-Research Cooperation Matchmaking Conference held at the Nanjing International Exhibition Center, the Yangzhou Qun Guang Xin OPA project was exhibited in the "Major National Needs" integrated circuit exhibition area. Pan Xueyuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Yangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, visited the Qun Guang Xin booth to investigate the progress of the OPA pilot line construction and the market introduction of the products. He expressed his delight at the continuous breakthroughs made by the Qun Guang Xin OPA project and hoped to accelerate the pace of market introduction and transform the results into economic benefits as soon as possible, so as to contribute to building Yangzhou into a famous city of industrial science and technology innovation.
