On the morning of April 14th, Chen Yang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, visited Qunfa Optical Chip to inspect and provide guidance. Accompanied by Wang Liang, the company's Chairman and Vice President of Technology, and the process manager, Chairman Chen Yang visited the pilot line's cleanroom to learn in detail about the progress of equipment commissioning in key processes. In the core areas of the coating and yellow light stations, the responsible person explained that the equipment in the two Class 100 cleanrooms of the pilot line meets world-class standards. The coating process utilizes two different CVD systems, meeting both mass production needs and R&D testing. The company also possesses a wide range of thin film processes, including low-loss thick-film silicon nitride and silicon oxide, which are used not only in the production of OPA silicon photonic chips but also in the processing and material sales of optical communication products.

The process manager introduced the relevant indicators and mass production capabilities of the lithography machine in the back-end inspection area. The manager specifically explained that the company's technical team, in collaboration with a well-known equipment manufacturer, assisted them in developing China's first customized OPA silicon photonic chip test equipment. This equipment can accurately adapt to the specific indicators of silicon photonic devices (such as light intensity, energy distribution, transmission loss, etc.) and achieve system-level data interoperability with AOI defect identification and sorting equipment, freeing up significant production capacity for back-end chip processing.

Chairman Chen Yang listened to a report on the equipment commissioning. Chairman Chen Yang stated: "The government has provided strong support for the development of the Qunfa OPA project, which is being cultivated as an innovative benchmark for Yangzhou's silicon photonics industry." Currently, the pilot line's equipment has reached industry-leading standards. We must fully leverage the capabilities of core devices such as lithography machines, CVD machines, and testers, and strive for industry-leading production yield. Improving production yield requires not only high-performance equipment but also robust production management and technical teams. We must actively benchmark against leading companies in related industries, incorporate advanced operational management expertise, systematically improve the technical team's capabilities, and leverage the pilot line's locational advantages to create a silicon photonics pilot line with significant industry influence.

Chairman Chen Yang carefully guided the QUNFA engineering team on key tasks during the final phase of production. Chairman Chen Yang emphasized: "The closer we get to production, the tighter the safety net and the more responsibility we must maintain." We must re-inspect and re-implement plant safety management, hazardous chemicals control, and emergency plans, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the pilot line with a 'foolproof' standard. I look forward to seeing the production line achieve efficient and stable production of silicon photonic chips during my next visit, laying a solid foundation for subsequent large-scale mass production, and making greater contributions to building Yangzhou into a renowned city for industrial innovation and sci-tech.
